Exercise is known to reduce the risk of cancer, but this does not have to mean hard -term or long -term core gym sessions.
A new study led by Oxford researchers reveals that casual march and other light intensity activities are enough to reduce the incidence of cancer.
It was found that the number of steps was more important than the rhythm of the hike.
Only 4 minutes of intense daily activity could reduce the risk of cancer among “non -exercises”, is in the study
Those who walked 7,000 steps a day were 11% lower than 5,000 steps a day, and the risk was 16% lower than those who took 9,000 steps a day, according to a statement from Oxford Center for Cancer Detection at Oxford University.
It has even been shown that shopping and domestic tasks reduce the risk of cancer.

Generally, those with the highest amount of daily physical activity had 26% less likely to develop cancer compared to those who had the lowest amount, after adjusting for lifestyle factors, body mass index (BMI) and other health conditions.
The study, which was recently published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, analyzed the data monitoring data for 85,394 people in the Biobank in the United Kingdom with an average of 63 years.

They then compared the data to the future cancer diagnostics in 2,633 participants for a period of almost six years.
Although previous studies have used self -reported exercise to determine the reduced risk of cancer, it used “more accurate data” based on portable activity trawler.
“Our research highlights the importance of all forms of movement,” said Aiden Doherty, author of Senior Study Aiden Doherty, a Professor of Biomedical Health Computer Science in Oxford’s population.

“Whether it increases daily steps, participation in light activity or the incorporation of moderate exercises to vigorous, any level of physical activity seems to contribute to a lower risk of cancer.” (Istock)

“Our results support and improve current guidelines for national and international physical activity, showing that people who are often engaged in simple intensity activities, such as walking, have a lower risk of developing cancer.”

Dr. Marc Siegel, a clinical professor of medicine at Nyu Langone Health and Fox News Senior Medical Analyst, said that cancer is related to inflammation, which is related to sedentary behavior.

“All types of activities, including the hike, increases the metabolic function and decreases inflammation.” (Istock)
“All types of activities, including the hike, increases metabolic function and decreases inflammation,” said Siegel, who was not involved in the study, told Fox News Digital.
“The results of this study are not amazing and follow previous and ongoing research.”
