A common murderer error is to jeopardize the north -Americans: “pandemic in sight”

Five years after the Covid-19 World Hyperfoc began, some are worried about the next pandemic, whether the flu, bird flu or other pathogen can be caused.

Too overly are viruses and bacteria that are not of influence, which are not being confronted and extended, both in the United States and worldwide. Although they may not cause the next pandemic, they do cause a lot of illness and death.

One of these bacteria is Streptococcus Group A, a former enemy who colonizes the throat and tonsils of about 20% of North -American children, according to Dr. Joshua Osowicki, team leader and senior research companion at the Murdoch Child Research Institute in Melbourne, Australia.

CDC warns of an increase in invasive strain of Strep’s throat in the United States

This problematic bacterial strain is easily treated with penicillin drugs when it causes a clinical infection, said Osowicki to Fox News Digital in an interview with the camera.

But the problem, he said, is that because the bacteria can be housed, the diagnosis is not always enough soon.

Scarlet and rheumatic fever/rheumatic heart disease may result from recurrent or non -treated streap, and re -increasing in appropriate medical care areas, including United States.

“Rheumatic heart disease is a chronic and non -infectious disease that occurs after non -treated groups based on non -treated groups, and almost certainly after multiple Streptoococcus infections based on unrepresented groups,” said Osowicki.

Strep’s throat infections have increased above pre-covers, as reported: “We have lost cases”

His research reveals that the prevalence of an invasive version that can jeopardize the life of the ARP A group, which may include rooted skin infections, sepsis, meningitis and fatal pneumonia is increasing around the world.

Aggressive skin infections, associated with intravenous drugs, can lead to the need for repeated surgeries, along with antibiotics.

In the United States, there have been more than double the annual incidents of the Invasiu group in Strep in ten states, affecting about 35 million Americans between 2013 and 2022, with 21,000 cases and about 2,000 deaths, according to Osowicki.

“In many ways, it is a pandemic in sight,” he said about the group in Strep, adding that almost a billion people experience symptomatic diseases of bacteria each year.

“It actually does its damage to serious cases and can endanger their lives before the patient receives antibiotics.”

The important thing with the group A Strep, according to the doctor, is that antibiotic resistance is not the main problem.

“The group A Strep is reliably killed by penicillin – and since 1941 it was introduced by penicillin,” said Osowicki.

“The point is that it actually does its damage in serious cases and can endanger life before the patient receives antibiotics. There is this period when it is too difficult to diagnose and the treatment is too late.”

In these cases, he said, patients need ICU, surgery and “the most intensive treatment we need to offer.”

Among patients over the age of 65 or so, a quarter will die with this form of illness, according to Osowicki.

The need for a vaccine

There is currently no vaccine for group A.

Although the most common form of throat and minor skin infections are “less frightening”, Osowicki warned of the dangers of overlooking the most invasive version of the disease.

Toxin exposure increases the risk of colorectal cancer among younger adults

“Sometimes we look at the infections that jeopardize the life we struggle to prevent, diagnose and treat, (until) they become the first page sepsis cases that you see in the newspaper many weeks of the year,” he said.

“These are attractive cases. These are cases like Rory Staunton in New York, the tragic death of which (in 2012 from sepsis) really triggered state census mandates in the United States”

The need for an effective vaccine is clear, for both invasive Strep and the most common variety. Osowicki and others in their group work a lot to develop them.

“The current push of my research is related to the vaccine,” he shared. “We do what they are called human challenge tests, where we deliberately infect healthy volunteers with group A Strep, painting it in their tonsils. And we do it very carefully, in a hospitalized environment.”

Researchers also provide early antibiotic treatments and collect throat, blood and saliva buffers to study how human only works works and explore ways to stop it.

“The ultimate goal is to become a high power platform to establish the vaccine effectiveness,” Osowicki said.

There are many vaccine candidates in various stages of development, from the protein-adjuvant type (such as Shingrix or the Covid Vaccine of Novavax) to the ARNM platform and several other types, the researcher shared.

“We are working with all vaccine companies that have a candidate for the development group based on the development group,” he said.

The goal, the researcher said, is to “create a vaccine that the world wants, that the world accepts, that the world says it is safe and that it will help our children.”

He said he is concerned about the skepticism of the vaccine, especially after the Covid pandemic, which can prevent people from trusting in emerging science.

However, the researcher is excited about the future of the Strep A and others, although he hopes that it may take at least five to ten years before a decent candidate will arrive at the doctors’ offices.

The new vaccine will be oriented to adults with skin infections, as well as the many millions of children who risk minor and severe diseases.
