A two -credits Chatgpt mother to save her life, claiming that the artificial intelligence chat marked the condition she had in her cancer when doctors lost her.
Lauren Bannon, who divides his time between Northern Carolina and the Virgin Islands of the United States, first realized in February 2024 that he had trouble doubling in the morning and evening, according to Kennedy News and Media.
Four months later, doctors told the 40 -year -old who had rheumatoid arthritis, despite trying negative for the condition.
What is artificial intelligence (AI)?
Bannon, owner of a marketing company, began experiencing excruent stomach pains and lost 14 pounds in just a month, which doctors blamed for acid reflux.

Desperate to identify the cause of his symptoms, Bannon went to Chatgpt, the model of great language prepared by Openai.
The Chatbot told Bannon that he has Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune condition where the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks the thyroid gland, causing it to inflame and, finally, is not active, according to Kennedy News and Media.

Despite his doctor’s reserves, Bannon insisted on being tested for the condition in September 2024 and was surprised to discover that Chatgpt was correct, despite the absence of any family history.
This pushed doctors to make an ultrasound of Lauren’s thyroid, when they discovered two small lumps on their neck, which were confirmed as a cancer in October 2024.
“I needed to find out what was happening to me, I only felt so desperate. I was not receiving the answers I needed.”
Bannon claims that he would never have found hidden cancer without the help of Chatgpt, who accredits to help save his life.
“I felt the doctors left,” Bannon said, according to Kennedy News and Media. “It was almost as if they were trying to give medication so that anything made you go in and out through the door.”

Bannon said he had been using Chatgpt to work. When he asked the chat on what medical conditions mimicing rheumatoid arthritis, he replied: “You may have the hashimoto disease, ask your doctor to check the levels of pyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPO).” “”

Following cancer diagnosis in January 2025, Bannon underwent an operation to remove the thyroid and the two lymph nodes from the neck. It will now remain under a lifelong follow -up to ensure that cancer does not return, according to the report.
Due to not presenting with symptoms typical of Hashimoto’s disease, Bannon believes that his condition and subsequent diagnosis of cancer would have been left without the help of Chatgpt.

“I did not have the symptoms typical of hashimoto’s disease; I was not tired or sold out,” he said, according to Kennedy News and Media.
“If he had not looked at Chatgpt, he would only have taken the medication of rheumatoid arthritis and cancer would have spread out of the neck anywhere else.”

Bannon encourages others to use the chat to investigate their own health problems, but to “act with caution”.
“If you give you something to look, ask your doctors to test you,” he suggested. “You can’t do any harm. I feel fortunate to live.”

Dr. Harvey Castro, a board of emergency medicine certified by the Board and National Artificial Intelligence Older with Dallas, Texas, said that he houses the role of AI tools as a Chatgpt to raise awareness and cause faster actions, but also calls for caution.
“AI is not a replacement for human medical experience,” Fox News Digital told Fox. “These tools can help, alert and even comfort, but they cannot diagnose, examine or treat.”

“When used responsibly, AI can improve health results, but when used in isolation, it can be dangerous,” Castro continued. “We need to prioritize patient safety and keep medical professionals licensed at the care center.”
